Siouxland Growth Organization is kicking off 2022 with a bang as we celebrate our 20th anniversary as an organization. Previously known as Sioux City Growth Organization, we rebranded to include all of Siouxland last year. We’re excited to celebrate this momentous year, and the first full year as Siouxland GO, with our entire community.
If this is your first-time hearing, or reading about Siouxland GO, allow us to introduce ourselves… Members of the 2022 board, serving in their second term are: Grace Nordquist (President), Brock Bourek (Vice President), Jeremiah Back (Treasurer), and Sydney McManamy (Secretary). We also welcomed new faces to the board this year: Nick Drenth (Connect Committee Chair), Jacey Hanna (Civic Committee Chair), Angela Rogers (Special Events Chair), Rob Valdovinos (Marketing Chair), and Ashley Vande Brake (Innovation Marketing Event Chair). In addition to our board, we have more than 50 currently active members and hundreds of Sioux City GO alum throughout the community.
That’s who we are, but what exactly do we do? I’m glad you asked!
Our mission at Siouxland GO is to encourage young professionals to connect and become active members of the Siouxland community. We believe that when we bring together innovative ideas and use our voice, we can positively impact our community. We believe that we have a great impact on shaping the future of Siouxland. We strive to accomplish that through networking events with our members showcasing all Siouxland has to offer, giving back to our community through volunteering, or connecting with the next generation of young professionals at colleges and high schools in the area.

Siouxland GO members can use their passions and interests to get involved in the community though our committees. If volunteering is something of interest to you, our Civic Committee is a great way to help organize volunteer events. Maybe you’re an alum of one of the Colleges or High Schools in Siouxland or just have a passion for college and high school aged-students and want to join the Connect Committee. Love to plan events? The Special Events Committee is a perfect outlet for your creative event planning energy. If you’re an entrepreneur minded person, you’ll want to learn more about our Innovation Market and have a hand in that event on the Committee. Or if you love what Siouxland GO is all about and want to help market the organization and encourage others to join, we’ve got just the place for you on our Marketing or Recruitment Committees.
Whoever you may be and whatever profession you’re in, if you’re looking to get more involved in the Siouxland community, make a difference, have an impact, and meet others with the same goal, we would love for you to be a part of Siouxland GO.
