We’ve got 20 years under our belts. What’s 20+ more? This year, 2022, is the year Siouxland Growth Organization celebrates two decades’ worth of contributions to our community. Haven’t heard of us? SGO encourages young professionals to become active members of the Siouxland community. We accomplish our mission by hosting meetings, as well as volunteer and networking opportunities that produce growth.

One of our largest events each year is the Innovation Market. The 12th annual event took place on May 5th at Design West in Downtown Sioux City. The five finalists: Crumb, Furrow Flower Farm, Munchies, Beverages and Snack Imports, Siouxland Junk Removal, and UCreate Studios will advance on to the Pitch Event Thursday, June 9th hosted by Jefferson Beer Supply. That night is limited to Siouxland GO members and event sponsors to vote for the top three winners who will walk away with cash prizes to aid them in turning their pitches into realities. Fun fact– Jefferson Beer Supply was birthed out of an SGO Innovation Market, and now they get to host their very own Pitch Event!
You may have not realized, but 20 years is a long time. In our time as an established organization, we’ve volunteered at various community events such as the Wine and Chocolate Festival that supports the Alzheimer’s Association and hosted educational events such as resume workshops and public speaking forums. We added our annual Golf Classic which is just around the corner, and has been loads of fun! (This year’s golf tournament is Monday, July 25th– visit our website to register or sponsor today!) More recently, we have expanded to include the communities surrounding Sioux City, foregoing the old name (Sioux City Growth Organization) and rebranding as Siouxland Growth Organization. Even though our name and logo look different now, our mission has not changed!
